Hi all

Hi everyone. I have been missing in action again. It seems life keeps getting in the way.

This will be a short post because I am exhausted! As you know (or maybe you don't) I went to work last week. I enjoy the work, but I am not sure if I like working! It is really a case of "the grass is greener on the other side." When I wasn't working, I thought I needed to work, keep busy and earn money. Now I am working and I keep thinking I wish I were home! I am adjusting, but I am sure I won't really be fully adjusted till the end of this week.

So, I am off to bed, but I thought I would share a photo of our kitty, Monet.

Pin It Now!

Wishing you the best of luck in this transition Cynthia... And Monet certainly looks very comfortable and content! I'm afraid my Tuffy is being nothing but a rascal right now. We're just getting Christmas boxes out, as begin decorating, and he's GOT to be right in the middle of it all, if not right IN the BOXES themselves!! It appears he loves the holidays as much as WE do!

If you had asked me I would have been honest and told you working kind of sucks really because it stops you from having a life a lot of th time. I really wanted to stay home and sew today but I went in because I am a girly swot and dont take sick days unless Im dying...

Of course Ive been working for almost 30 years with only 14 months off when Miss P was born so I'm entitled to be fed up.

I hope you adjust quickly and the money is kinda cool at the end of the fortnight.

Ummmmm does Monet always kip in the sink?

I'm in the same situation as you, only I was forced into finding a job instead of going voluntarily. I start on Friday. It is only 20 hours a week, but that is 20 hours a week less that I have to do my own thing. I'm really not looking forward to it. Plus the pay isn't that great, so I don't know if the trade-off will be worth it. As you can see, I totally need an attitude adjustment.

Monet is adorable!

I think the thing that's confusing is that when we're faced with a choice, we expect all aspects to be 100% "good". It never is. We always have to give something up.

Working sucks, but the money is nice I guess. Just make sure you set aside some crafting/sewing time for Cynthia. Aren't cats funny creatures? They always seem to find weird places to sleep.

Hey Cynthia
I'd love to have the money from working, but when i did work, we really didn't have more cash than we do now. I'll never understand that.
What kind of work are you doing?
