Hello all! I finished training yesterday and now am ready to go out in the world and earn my keep. I have not worked outside the home in many years. I am both excited and scared.
Isn't this cowl beautiful? It is called a Moebius or infinity cowl. I am in the process of making one for myself and if I like it, I may make more. The instructions say you twist the first stitch. I have never twisted a stitch before, so I went on a search of how to do and and found a video to guide me. You turn the first stitch 180 degrees and then start to knit as you regularly would. Magic is supposed to happen!
This jumbled cluster f**k of yarn is my Moebius! I am not seeing the magic yet! Big said, "Yeah, it looks magic, I think you could stick your hand in there and pull out a rabbit!" I showed her the only sign language I have ever learned. That shut her up for a while. I am hoping the magic will happen when I get it off the needles, if not I will be unraveling it and looking for another pattern.
I am off to get The Baby. I may or may not post this weekend, but I will be thinking of all of you and hoping you are having a great weekend!

Oh dear! I've always liked the look of these scarves as well, but you're not encouraging me to give it a go!
Ok next time you're going to have a hissy out of nowhere in a post I'd like some pre-warning.
I got up, made coffee, started reading your post , heard angels, lovely background music and was feeling the love from your post when all of a sudden I spat my cofee everywhere and started hysterically laughing at 7 am ...
You completely crack me up.
Enjoy the weekend with The Baby.
Oh and thats why I dont knit....
Well it doesn't look like the photo does it? May be when and if it gets finished it will.

Hey Cynthia, thanks for the laugh. It sort of looks like the photo, only smaller. Did you use a different ply yarn?
SO what sign language would that be, smirk, snigger!!!!!
I'm with Shay, that needed a "Spit Alert". Too funny. My Baby was teaching my SIL how to make that sign language in a text the other day. Charming, no?
You'll do fine once you get going. Working one on one isn't like other jobs--you'll be independent, right?
Have a great time with your Baby.
good luck with the job hope it all goes well and you enjoy it.
You knitting is awesome..keep going with this project i will look forward to following its progress.
Good luck with the new job Cynthia!
I'll be interested to see how your scarf turns out. Imo, it looks promising.
I really like the way your looks.
