The Baby and I decided we would, once again, have a vegetable garden. We moved the current raised beds and built one new one. We planted tomatoes, jalapenos, zucchini, 2 types of lettuce, spinach, leeks, broccoli, basil, watermelon, cantaloupe, turban squash and Japanese eggplant!

The beds are positioned next to a sidewalk that runs from the back porch to the driveway. We have to walk by the beds everyday, which makes it easy to bend over and pull a weed or two before they take over!
About a year ago I started a pinwheel quilt. By starting, I mean I went out and bought a 1/2 a yard or more of 35 different floral fabrics! Six months ago I started cutting and sewing pinwheels. I got 17 of them finished before a trip to Kentucky (more on that later). I finished the the other 18 pinwheels between visits to the quilting shops of Ashland, Kentucky.
When I began to work on the placement of the blocks, I noticed a problem. Do you see it?
Mind you, the blocks are placed on a tablecloth, so don't say the problem is the red showing through the white part of the pinwheel - it was a dark and rainy day and this was the best light!
Let me know if you see what is wrong!
Daisy (the pup), Precious (the cat) and Budgie (the bird) enjoying a summer day with me on the back porch!
Thanks for stopping by!

cynthia I have exactly the same cane setting in my sewing room. We must have the same taste. I have lime green cushions, but your rug just finishes off the setting.
I did that with 10 of my 30 pinwheels, hmmmm, more unpicking, but it was worth it.
Love your back porch.
Yep - I see it. But I've never made a pinwheel quilt, so it took me a little while... At least the colors are AWESOME!
Yes, I see your problem, I have done the same thing. I see some froggy sewing being done Rib-it, Rib-it,
Have a great Thursday.
Patricia
I'd love to say "I don't see a thing", but I do. How many are reversed? Would it be easier to take some apart, or make some new ones and end up with two quilts? I've made the same mistake. Lane
I picked it up. I knwo you're asking because you want to know if you should unsew....Im afraid you're going to have to bite the bullet and get out that seam ripper.
I cant believe how fast your garden is growing.
See- that porch is the perfect spot for our wine-fest!
Gardens are so rewarding ~ almost immediate gratification. :-)
It took me awhile to spot the error. Gosh it would be an easy mistake to make!
Lovely soft summery colours you have used in the pinwheel quilt, Cynthia. Looks like a little reverse sewing coming up? Oh well it will be worth it in the long run. Di.
You don't have them sewed together yet so its a easy fix just set another there...bottom middle one right. Trish
