Pyjama Party Sunday

Today, I am joining Marg's Pyjama Party Sunday.

Remember the mess with the pinwheels the other day? My craftiness for the day was spent re-sewing them. Here is the final layout.

Sorry for the bad photo! We have had rain, rain, rain. Every photo I take comes out dark and blurry!

Now comes the big question. How do I quilt this?

I don't really want to take it to be professionally quilted. Although it is, and will be, a favorite of mine, I don't think I need it quilted by someone else. I will save that expense for something I would consider, "Heirloom". Let me know your ideas.

Also, Big and I went to see the movie, "Bad Teacher". It was a funny movie and I enjoyed it very much. If you have a chance, go see it!

Hope you had a wonderful weekend.

Pin It Now!

Wow! That's beautiful.... Almost makes me want to try a pinwheel quilt. Almost. I'd most likely quilt in the ditch, but that's my standard go-to quilting in my home machine. But I think it'd look pretty cool on the back! Just my .02 cents... Can't wait to see what you do!

Do like me some pinwheels and yours are gorgeous - Love those colours.
I just quilted mine on the diagonal both ways keeps the focus on the pin wheels and makes them look like they are spinning.
Enjoy

I have always liked pinwheels. I am not a quilter, so this is beyond me. However it is nice to look a lovely work like this.

I love your pinwheels Cynthia, they look really great all laid out together. I would agree with Tracey and sew on the diagonal about 1/4 inch from the seams, but that's also because I don't like stippling because I'm not very good at it!!!!!!

Your pinwheels look wonderful (I bet you're glad you spent that time unpicking )

Im with Marg and Mistea on the quilting. Simple but effective and wont take anything away from the pinwheels.

Hmmm. I think I'd quilt it in the ditch in straight lines, horizontal, vertical and both diagonals. but, then, I'd put something in the white hst's. A small feather or a flower or something to fill them in so the prints would stand out. Just my two cents. Enjoy figuring it out. That can be half the fun. Lane
