Kim's Quilt

I finally finished my good friend's quilt. It was supposed to be a Chrsitmas gift, but it is a week late. My life has been pretty busy and I couldn't get it finished until now. Kim is a frog lover and when I saw this material, I thought of her. I am not sure if she is a fan of purple and pink, but her house has a little of everything in it, so I don't think it will clash! I hope that she finds time to slow down in her busy life and snuggle under the quilt and read a good book or something. She is so busy, I feel badly for her.

Just finished this knitting needle carrier for my partner's step-mother. She is a knitter and a "Purple Hat" lady. Hope she enjoys it.

Finished quilt

Well, it has been a long time! Too busy!! My mother was here for my daughter's birthday in the end of May and I made a lap quilt for her for Mother's Day. I took a class and picked the materials that I thought she would like and worked on it whenever possible. Well - needless to say - I was working on the binding on the day I had to take her to the airport!! I think I got it done about 45 minutes before we had to leave. Anyway, she has it now and I think she likes it, so that is what matters. Here is a picture of it. I machine quilted it, my first time, and I like the way it turned out. What do you think?
